Light coming directly at the screen from the front (the light from the projector) is reflected while ambient light, or light from other sources, is absorbed.
This reduces the glare coming off the screen, keeping the room darker than a standard white or gray screen, which keeps your image sharp and clear. It also allows you to use the screen in less than ideal light conditions, including outdoors or in rooms with multiple windows. As long as the light is coming from the side or rear of the screen, it won’t affect your viewing experience. You’ll get an image comparable to an HD television, something impossible with other projector screens in these light conditions.
Our Reference series of fixed screens are available with the Black Diamond screen technology and are a great choice for serious home theatres and businesses that may have imperfect light conditions.
