Projector Screen
Deciding Which Projector Screen Is Right For You
Your first consideration should be what the screen will be used for. If you need a screen for occasional classroom or business use, or if you like the idea of setting up a screen in the backyard for a special movie night, then a Sensation manual pull-down or pull-up screen is probably your best choice. These screens are available in widescreen (16:9) and standard (4:3) aspect ratios in a variety of sizes. They are extremely portable and can be set up by a single person in a matter of seconds.
If you want a more permanent installation, but don’t have a room dedicated to viewing or presentations, you may want to consider a Reference or Performance series motorized screen. These screens can be either externally or flush mounted and modified with decorator plates to better blend with your existing décor. They can be easily extended or retracted as the room’s current purpose dictates. These screens are available with several options, including screen color, size, aspect ratio, and voltage.
Serious home theatre builders or businesses with dedicated viewing areas will want to consider a fixed screen in the Reference, Performance, or Sensation series. With a fixed screen, your options increase dramatically. Not only are there multiple widescreen format options, screen material options, and sizes, they can also be flat or curved for the best viewing angles for your room.
