Innovation, quality control, production efficiency, and exceptional customer care are the hallmarks of SI’s global initiatives for 2020.

AUSTIN, TX (January 16, 2020) — Committed to delivering the best products, technology, and services to its global reseller community, Screen Innovations (SI) enters 2020 armed with several key initiatives for continual growth, advancement, and leadership as a premiere provider of projection screen and shading solutions.

SI’s headquarters in Austin, Texas, has once again been expanded and enhanced for greater efficiency across the board—from the corporate office to the factory floor. A number of innovative new products, systems, services, and technologies join SI’s broad range of screen and shade offerings. Existing products continue to evolve as new features and functions are implemented and deployed. Finally, a variety of completely new design and installation solutions and technologies are scheduled to roll out throughout the year.

“SI has a long history of providing unique, innovative, and top-quality products, service and support, but in 2020 we are taking it up a notch by investing heavily in our production facilities and capacity as well as our staff and technology development,” says SI CEO Ryan Gustafson.
“Everything has undergone a major refresh, and we’re excited to offer our customers a better SI experience. From our improved customer service and support to faster turnaround times on products and improved quality control measures, the SI team is laser-focused on delivering on our commitments and being the best partner possible. We’re primed for growth and our innovative screen and shade technologies—plus all the other cool solutions we’re bringing to market— aren’t offered anywhere else. We’ve listened to our customers and have everything they need to grow their commercial and residential business in 2020.”

Developing Innovative “Problem-Solving” Products & Technology
SI is pushing the envelope of technological innovation with the development of several products designed to simplify installation and integration of its screen and shade offerings. No matter what type of challenge dealers face when installing motorized screens and shades, SI has a tool to minimize labor and ensure the most reliable operation possible.

“Our goal is to drive simplicity and ease-of use-for both the dealer and end-user,” Gustafson says.

The recent implementation of Zigbee 3.0 in select products, for example, allows dealers to easily add shading and screen solutions to a mesh network and enable seamless interoperability with a wide range of other devices that adhere to the protocol, including popular brands of lighting, voice control, and automation systems. Additionally, products such as Janus and Fontus— new for 2020—facilitate the use of all wiring types, even two-conductor wire, while providing dealers with a more compact, design-friendly solution that differentiates them from their competition. The engineers at SI will continue to innovate going forward, focusing on providing dealers with additional solutions for low-voltage applications, wireless Zigbee 3.0 integration, and the cross pollination of screens and shades.

Improvements on the Factory Floor
To improve production efficiency and quality control, SI continues to invest heavily in its Austin, Texas, facility, the latest being a 22,000-square-foot expansion of its factory floor and office space. The addition more than doubles SI’s production capacity and accommodates state-of-the-art equipment, including extrusion saws for precision cutting of screen and shade frames and cassettes.

“Because the new extrusion area is now completely enclosed, factory debris and noise are minimized significantly, creating a cleaner, more comfortable work environment and ensuring that our products are of the utmost quality,” Gustafson adds.

3-Day Turnaround on Quick-Build Screens
Coinciding with the factory expansion is the introduction of new SI programs, including 3-day quick-build screens, which drastically reduce lead times and lowers inventory carrying costs for dealers while also demonstrating SI’s unrelenting commitment to innovation and customer service.

Helping Dealers Differentiate and Grow
As SI continues to evolve—refining its existing line of products and deploying new technologies, resources, and services—it offers dealers an unparalleled opportunity to differentiate and expand their businesses. Unique programs like Flow, for example, help dealers dive into the shade business by simplifying the process of specifying, ordering, and installing shades in both residential and commercial settings. SI is developing other unique dealer programs and services to ensure that every project is designed and configured to perfection and works flawlessly for the end user.

Addition of Several Key Staff
To help push forward its 2020 initiatives and broaden its base of talent, SI has hired several key personnel: Jason Russell, VP Residential Sales; Sasha Osadchy, Director of Training; and Jamie Beltz and Jay Johns, Best Buy Regional Sales. These new employees bring with them a wealth of varied experience from which SI plans to draw upon to leverage its development of products, technologies, service, and support.

Cultivating a Strong Company Culture
Establishing and cultivating a strong company culture affects all aspects of a company’s success, and translates to the development of quality products and customer service and support. SI advocates this philosophy by focusing on the creation and implementation of inspiring workplace programs and events, dedication to the improvement of the work environment, and opportunities for employees to expand their base of knowledge and skills, leading SI into a new chapter as a technological powerhouse in the motorized shade and screen industry.
