    Connect

  • Connect power LED on, but still not working (no Dry Contact Trigger)

      Possible Cause:
    • RJ11 Connection.

      Solution:
    • RJ11 Connection
    • Ensure the RJ11 connection are fully plugged in and seated, and that the correct wiring has been used, with pin #3 (ring) typically Blue and pin #4 (tip) typically white with blue stripe and pin #6 (tip) typically white with brown stripe and are consistent on both sides of the UTP cable. If the control system GPIO uses RJ45 you are free to terminate in T568a or b when using these colors.
    • Note: There is no stop command, and the connection is momentary, and care should be taken to ensure mutually exclusive (break-before-make) contact when switching between pins 3 and 6.
  • Connect power LED on, but still not working (no 12VDC Trigger)

      Possible Cause:
    • 3.5mm TS phone (phono) connection.

      Solution:
    • Ensure the 3.5mm connection is fully inserted (seated) into the connect 12v trigger port and also ensure the projector (or other trigger source) is connected and fully inserted (seated) as well.

      Possible Cause:
    • Voltage.

      Solution:
    • Ensure the voltage present on the 12 VDC trigger are within the range of 5-12 DC with a multimeter.  The center pin (or tip of the TS) is positive and the outer contact (or sleeve of the TS) is negative.  If the voltage polarity is reversed then change the wiring to be correct, if the voltage is too low or too high out of the range then change your trigger source or provide a dc-dc conversion into the 5-12VDC range for proper operation.
  • Connect power LED on, but still not working (no Infrared Control)

      Possible Cause:
    • Infrared not being received by Connect built-in IR window or remote connect IR eye.

      Solution:
    • Ensure the SI IR Remote is pointed at the connect box built in receiver (which is located to the left of the power indicator (when you are facing it).  The SI IR Remote Infrared transmitter in the top front of the remote must be in line-of-sight to the built-in IR receiver to work properly.

      Possible Cause:
    • If using the remote IR input and the Infrared not being received by the remote connect IR eye.

      Solution:
    • Ensure the SI IR Remote is pointed at the remote IR eye receiver.  The SI IR Remote Infrared transmitter in the top front of the remote must be in line-of-sight to the remote IR eye receiver to work properly.

      Possible Cause:
    • Remote Battery depleted.

      Solution:
    • Replace battery (1) CR2025 3V Li.
  • Connect not working (no power LED)

      Possible Cause:
    • DC power.

      Solution:
    • Ensure the Connect is powered using the included power supply. Connect requires at least 12 volts DC to operate. When powered, a blue LED on the front of the unit will turn on.

      Possible Cause:
    • The control inputs are not configured properly.

      Solution:
    • Refer to the following options below for the corresponding control method used.

    • If these solutions have not corrected your cause and or it was not listed here please contact SI customer support at 512-832-6939 and we will be happy to assist you.
