Austin, TX — November 1, 2017 — Projection screen manufacturer Screen Innovations® (SI®) has announced that it is now shipping Solo, the screen that completely reinvents the portable screen category. Solo is a totally wireless, rollable, Zero Edge® style motorized screen, powered by lithium, with 2 years on a single charge. SI designed Solo to be mounted to a wide array of different applications for indoor or outdoor viewing entertainment by utilizing a wide array of new mounting accessories, also launching with Solo. One such type of accessory is suction cup brackets, which enable mounting to smooth, nonporous surfaces like condo windows, i.e., try mounting it to the windows of a VW Bus or SUV—use your imagination! For added utility, SI has developed a “Universal Locking Bracket” that has a 1/4-20 threaded bolt application to make custom mounting to nearly any application a possibility.
Solo is versatile, rolling into a 2.75-inch cassette making it easy to transport from place to place. Because it is powered by a long-lasting lithium core—a single charge will last up to 2 years—it requires no hardwired connections. When recharging does become necessary, it is easily accomplished with a patent-pending magnetic charging cable that simply “clicks” into place. SI has also developed an additional line of accessories enhancing total wireless connectivity to the screen. “Solo Connect” is one such accessory, accepting IR, 12-volt trigger, and dry contact, converting them into a RF signal to control the screen without a single wire connected to it. SI has also setup an ecosystem that allows seamless connectivity with all of the most popular control systems and Amazon’s Echo.
Solo is available in two variations, Solo (80, 90, or 100-inch options) with Slate® (ALR) screen, or Solo Pro (custom sizes up to 120-inches) in Slate and Pure screen materials, in standard and acoustically transparent varieties, as well as 360, SI’s rear-pro flexible material, that is viewable from both sides. Solo Pro can also be ordered in 12 different cassette colors and is available with a 24-volt hardwired motor option.
