What is TRO.Y 2? #
TRO.Y 2 is Screen Innovations’ second-generation IP Control Gateway featuring embedded commissioning software, 485 programming, and PoE power. It includes 4 segmented 485 bus lines supporting up to 256 shades.

Installation #
Mounting Options #
Rack Mounting #
TRO.Y 2 can be mounted in various ways using 10 screw hole locations:
Universal Rack Ear #
The symmetrical hole pattern allows the Universal Rack Ear to be mounted on either side in any orientation.
Half Rack #
TRO.Y 2 can be mounted in a standard half rack using 2 Universal Rack Ears.
Full Rack (Single Unit) #
A single TRO.Y 2 unit can be mounted in a standard 19″ rack using one Universal Rack Ear and one Long Rack Ear.
Full Rack (Multiple Units with Janus) #
TRO.Y 2 and Janus units can be coupled together and mounted in a standard 19″ rack.
Structured Wiring Box Installation (Jopplin Kit) #
TRO.Y 2 can be installed into nearly any structured wiring enclosure using the Universal Rack Ears or Universal DIN Rail Brackets.
DIN Rail Mounting #
TRO.Y 2 is available in both plenum and non-plenum options. If mounting in a plenum air space, ensure you have purchased one of the plenum rated TRO.Y 2 kits.
Important: The wire length from TRO.Y Helen Port to Helen Coordinator should not exceed 50 feet.

Button Operation #
Short Press: Restart the device
Press and Hold: Enter pairing/authorization mode (red LED blinks)
Connections & Wiring #
WARNING: Do NOT Exceed 48V PoE Power
TRO.Y 2 must not be powered with PoE voltage exceeding 48V. Using higher voltage PoE sources can damage the TRO.Y over time and may void the warranty. Always verify your PoE switch or injector output before connecting.
Power Connection #
TRO.Y 2 is powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet). Connect to a PoE switch or use a PoE injector.
